The movie that really caught my attention to the architectural detail is Zootopia. I was so amazed at first just by watching the trailer and the hype was real! The amount of thought, research and effort put into creating and producing such a wonderful set is impressive. The movie may just be an animation but it does portray each and every detail even though it may be just the background scene. It shows how much the producers and designers actually thought about it.

The world of Zootopia consist of quite a few continents very similar to that of our earth just that they gave it a cooler name ;) Cities such as Tundra Town, Sahara, The Rainforest, Burrows and Downtown were focused on more. The movie stars this little optimistic bunny rabbit- Hops who came from the city of Burrows. The population there are mostly rabbits as they multiply rather fast. The first thing that got my attention was the scene when they were sending her off at the train station. I loved how they placed different heights doors for different heights of animals. That drew me into the movie as they further travel towards Downtown.

I found that while looking back through the movie, buildings in Tundra town had more steep roofs and pointed tops rather than flat roofs since it is always snowing there. Roads were covered with thick layers of snow and streams of melted water was their means of transportation. If you look closely at this picture, you can see that they are actually standing on a piece of broken ice and floating towards their destination. If you look even closer you will notice that the names of the shops are pretty funny- Fishtown Market, Blubber Chef, Chill Out, and Thaw :D The amount of detail is amazing!

Besides Tundra town, the other town that stood out the most was Downtown. Some of the scenes clearly shows the consideration of different sizes, heights and location from which the animals come from. The hippo for example, came from a wet place which I think is called the Canals. As he arrived in the train station he is dried off with a jet of air. Another thing that amazed me was the Juice Bar which had a pressurised tube to send up drinks to the giraffes. That was a good touch to the movie. On the streets you could see all sorts of vehicles going around and I noticed that they had a narrow lane which was catered for smaller vehicles which were driven by mice, squirrels of hamsters. HAMSTERS! This was the best scene which I fell in love with. The miniature city for the hamsters was super cute to be honest. The way they move around looks very efficient other than having hamsters which were too busy on their phones(similar with humans). This rodent subway looks rather cool too!

All in all, this movie really satisfied my architectural desire more than other movies with loads of CGI and explosions and stuff. This movie showed how much study and research that was put in and it definitely shows through its details. But the one important thing I learnt from this movie would be that no matter what our races are as humans, we all can life together under one roof with tolerance, love and respect for each other.
